Eco Friendly Dish Soap Alternatives

eco friendly dish washing products assorted on a table. Various bamboo scrubbers and a bar of eco friendly dish soap

Eco friendly kitchen alternatives just make sense!

Slimy plastic dish soap bottles aren’t only a messy eye sore on your counter, but most contain a slue of toxic ingredients. Seems like a no-brainer to avoid washing your dishes with harmful chemicals, right?

Eco friendly dish soap bars are made with clean, biodegradable ingredients, are easy to lather, and last longer than a plastic bottle of liquid soap. Plus, no waste at the end. You can use them until they simply dissolve away or any leftover bits are often compostable.

1 bar of the No Tox Life XL Dish Soap Block lasted us 11 months (March 2020 – January 2021) in quarantine when we were eating and washing more dishes at home than ever. We could have easily thrown away nearly a dozen plastic bottles by now. And we would have been washing toxic carcinogens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, and more down the drain that would have negatively impacted waterways.

Many small online and brick & mortar businesses provide these eco friendly dish soap bar alternatives. Most are plant-based and have a refreshingly short list of ingredients.
